Objectives

The objective of this course is to equip licensed residential contractors with a practical, systems-based understanding of how construction defects develop, how they evolve into disputes and liability, and how professional management practices can prevent them. Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to identify common categories of residential construction failures, explain how documentation, supervision, coordination, closeout, and complaint response influence liability exposure, and apply structured risk management strategies to reduce defects, protect their license, and improve overall project outcomes.
